The personnel at Firestone on Fleur Drive in Des Moines, Iowa are the consummate professionals. They clearly take a pride in their workmanship. They graciously checked my engine coolant level and replenished the quantity needed – – free of charge. As a woman, I am always a bit anxious and reticent to take my vehicle In to be serviced. They made me feel at ease because they are so clearly trustworthy! Highly recommend!! (Chris helped me today - A+ service)

I come to this shop on the regular to get air in my tires, I have never had an issue with anyone in the store helping me. I love this store and I would tell anybody to stop by the shop on fleur Drive. Especially if they need air in their tire quickly. Oh did I mention they put the air in for free😃

Scheduled an appointment for an inspection on a new vehicle for Saturday. Took it on time, they asked when was the vehicle needed, I told them definitely by Monday. (Thinking they would inspect it on my original scheduled time) time went by. Called to ask estimate time and the lady said they would have it done end of day AND they would call.. hours went by, called again. Now they said that insurance from purchase place don’t open on weekends and won’t look at it until Monday… I could have paid the $ for the inspection, I was quoted an amount for it… never got a call about that information, never got notified. Especially when I had said definitely Monday, they did not look up information before me leaving to confirmed or called me to let me know it was NOT going to be done by Monday. Unprofessional on details, wasting everyone’s time. They did not take the time to provide accurate information. Whole day gone to waste!

Great price, great team. Phil the Master Technician definitely knows what he is doing, and although he is always busy, he makes my time matter. The only person in that shop that I respect more than Phil is Finn. Finn is the type of employee that you see and can definitely tell that he will be running the area before too long!

First I'll say there's probably an old positive Google review from me on here. But things have changed. We brought our 2010 Honda Civic EX to this shop for a routine synthetic oil change on 2.28.26. During the service, we were told the drain plug was stripped and that the oil pan would eventually need replacement—an $836 repair. Shortly after, the car began leaking oil. When we contacted the shop, we were told they couldn’t repair the plug, only replace the entire pan, and that we should try to find a small independent shop if we wanted a repair kit instead. We ended up taking the car to another shop, who fixed the drain plug with a repair kit and replaced the valve cover gasket for a fraction of the quoted cost. Even so, we were out $91 on the Firestone oil change and still spent over $250 plus 6–7 man hours of driving around the greater Des Moines to Ames metro to get our son’s car safely back on the road. As a loyal Firestone customer for more than 30 years—with four family vehicles serviced here—I expected more accountability. Nearly every oil change on this Civic has been done at Firestone, and the photos of the plug and pan show signs of over‑torquing. If this is a known
